Happenings

Sickness!! That's about the latest to report around here! One with double ear infections and pneumonia, and all three others with on and off fevers and nasty coughs. It sounds like a Dr.'s office waiting room around here! The blessing in all this is that we're not all throwing up. I'll take fevers and coughs any day over throwing up! So this is a good sort of sickness to have if there is any. We're all just lying around taking it easy, and the baby is all snugly and cuddly when she doesn't feel good. Sweet!

I was actually able to read an entire book! I usually have about three or four books going at one time and it takes me a year to finish them all, but I started this one while Aaron was home on Christmas break, and just finished it since we've all been vegging with sickness. It was the first book of the Shiloh Legacy series by Bodie Thoene, In My Father's House-so good!. It's a historical fiction. I couldn't put it down and now I'm ready to start the other two, but they may have to wait awhile.

Also, I just taught myself to knit! It's really a lot of fun once I got the hang of it. I hadn't realized an added benefit too, is that if I ever sit down to watch t.v., I want to knit instead of eat! My first project will be a scarf for Abby, since she won't mind too much what it looks like! Maybe I'll put up a picture of it when I'm done. We'll see what it looks like first! I got a sewing machine for Christmas too, so lately I've been feeling very domestic!

Other than me going grocery shopping at 10:00 last night (woo-hoo!) that's about all the excitement around here. Maybe there will be something more interesting next time!

I'm sorry you guys are sick! I have been sick this week, too. It appears that a lot of people from church are struggling with this sinus stuff. It does help me get some handwork done and books read. I hope your kids are better soon!

I'm a knitter, too! I taught myself a little over a year ago, and it has been an adventure! :) I'd love to see pictures of your projects.
