Praise be to God for His great gift!

2:1 In those days a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered.
2 This was the first registration when Quirinius was governor of Syria.
3 And all went to be registered, each to his own town.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the town of Nazareth, to Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David,
5 to be registered with Mary, his betrothed, who was with child.
6 And while they were there, the time came for her to give birth.
7 And she gave birth to her firstborn son and wrapped him in swaddling cloths and laid him in a manger, because there was no place for them in the inn.
8 And in the same region there were shepherds out in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.
9 And an angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were filled with fear.
10 And the angel said to them, “Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people.
11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.
12 And this will be a sign for you: you will find a baby wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying,
14 “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased!

Well, I've been so busy taking other people's pictures, that I'm just now getting around to taking my OWN kids picture for a Christmas card. BAD MOM! So, about 1:00 yesterday afternoon (December 18!-cuttin' it close!) I decide to rush the kids outside for a quick (heh, heh) picture! Honestly though it was the first day that we've been home, that it wasn't freezing, raining, or, seize the moment. Basically, I put everyone in red shirts, and fixed hair, and we ran out to the back yard for a picture (or 10).

Here's one...kinda cute...but Anna's a little squashed and Ava's off doing her own thing (typical!)

...And another. Two good kids, two goofy kids...

...getting better. Now only one goofy kid. I think it's kinda cute how Ava's looking adoringly at her older siblings though. I'm sure that's what she's doing.

Oh, we've digressed. Back to two goofies (notice it's the SAME two as before)

So, I say "Everyone lean in close together" Aaron Job interprets this as "Fall on your sister" UGH!!

Okay...I think this one will work.
I decided to straighten it up and touch it up a bit. This left Anna pretty much as just a floating head on the side, but oh well...We couldn't let everyone see that she had pink pants on, right! And, don't mind the holes in Abby's jeans. I think it adds some coolness the pic doesn't it! We'll just say it does, for the sake of making me feel better about not wanting to try to photoshop them out. :) Yes, that's it, coolness.
Merry Christmas Everyone!

Rock Stars!

Okay, maybe not. But that's what I think of when I look at this picture. Doesn't it look like an album cover?! I think I just dated myself... Anyway, I can't decide which one I like better. What do you all think?
