Remember in elementary school when you had to practice tornado drills? You had to squat down on your knees as low as possible, and put your hands over the back of your head to cover it, with your face lying flat on the tops of your legs. (is everyone completely confused now?) So now your suffocating, but a tornado will not kill you. Anyway, the kids thought this was great fun, getting to get out of bed and bring every bedding accoutrement down to the bathroom.
Praise the Lord that there was no damage in our neighborhood! Seeing of the damage all around us is just another reminder of the power and yet kindness of our great Lord. He does all things for His glory, and is good, even in a terrible time of storm.

That is one of my favorite Psalms (now I have a song in my head) I don't know if you have been to Skip and Janet's house yet but they had 11 people in their master bathroom...7 of them children 8 y/o and under in the tub :) Scary night but great memories.
I am glad they thought it was fun. My kids did not. Even today Camille asked if the sirens were going to go off and I said that might. She added that God would take care of her. So something is getting through.
